Graham's Sporty Nursery

Well, I think we are finally done setting up Graham's room. We put up his name and the video monitor today. It's a simple sports theme that is perfect for our little guy's tiny room. We are just waiting for the delivery of our chair to go in the corner along with the ottoman. And if room allows we may try to squeeze in a bookshelf under the window. But for now I think it's perfect! Notice the fake "Graham" in the bouncy seat that we have been using to get our puppy acclimated:)

35 week update

So, the last time I went to the doctor he was mildly curious about Graham's growth and scheduled an ultrasound for the next appointment to make sure everything was on track. Well, the ultrasound was today and Graham is certainly growing! They estimated that he is 6 lb 12 oz, which is in the 88th percentile. Most baby books say that at 35 weeks babies are around 5 lbs 8 oz. Unfortunately, his size is not an indication that he will come any earlier. But I really hope he does:)

Here are some new pictures. And as requested I have included some bare belly photos. I'm prepared to hear comments about my crazy belly button and possibly my crazy hair!

On another happy note, we received an offer on our house in Grand Rapids and are hoping to close on May 21st!!! The house has been on the market for almost a year, so you can imagine how excited we are about this.

Baby bump: 34 weeks

The countdown continues and there are only 6 more weeks until our due date of June 15th. We have 2 baby classes left entitled "Baby Care" and I think Alex is most excited to learn how to change a diaper:) In addition we've been finishing up the nursery and filling it with all sorts of baby items. Pretty soon we'll get the car seat in the car and the hospital bag packed so we can be ready for Graham's arrival. We are so excited to meet him and introduce him to the world!

Let the countdown begin...8 weeks to go!

We officially have less than 8 weeks to go before little Graham is due to arrive. Frankly, I'm hoping he comes a bit early... doesn't every pregnant woman? These next few weeks are vital to Graham's weight gain and apparently a lot of the weight I gain is going directly to him-which is fine by me! I'm intrigued to see myself in pictures in these last 2 months because although I feel like I can't get any bigger, I know I will.

At our doctor visit today I learned that I had lost a pound and my belly was measuring the same as it was at my last appointment. That came as a surprise to me as I certainly feel bigger. When I go back in 3 weeks I will be getting an ultrasound to make sure Graham is on track with his growth. And in the meantime I suppose I will just have to eat more! In the spirit of that, Alex and I dined at P.F. Chang's this evening. Appetizer, meals, and dessert-delicious!

This past week has brought on some new pregnancy symptoms: restless nights, frequent trips to the bathroom (I used to go the whole night without having to get up), and much needed mid-day naps. All of which are completely normal and a definite sign to me that the end is drawing near.

Alex and I went to one of our first classes last night. We have breastfeeding, childbirth preparation, and baby care class to get through. We are kind of squeezing them all in within these next few weeks and will be done by the middle of May. And after 6 classes I'm sure we'll be experts at all things baby, right? Haha, right.

Easter in Foxborough

Alex, Lorri, and Graham (almost 30 weeks)

Alex and I spent our Easter weekend in Foxborough, Massachusetts. As you can see, the weather was gorgeous. It was wonderful to spend time with family and celebrate his Grammie's 75th birthday. And since we were around others, we were able to get a picture together. This is hard to do when it's just the 2 of us. Perhaps we should train Brannock to point and shoot:)

Baby bump: 29 Weeks

Today marks my 29th week of pregnancy. I'm in my 7th month/3rd trimester with 11 weeks to go. My belly continues to grow and I'm definitely starting to feel big. Bending over is getting more difficult and it is often accompanied by an unexpected grunt. It kind of makes me feel old. Also, my belly button seems to stick out more and more each day. I feel like it is noticeable through my clothes-which I do not like! Luckily, I have not yet had any swelling and can still wear my rings. But 11 weeks is a long way to go, so we'll see if that symptom comes to call.

This past weekend we moved into our new house. In the pictures above I am in the front living room where Alex just installed a curtain rod and new curtains. Don't they look beautiful? I'm so grateful for a handy husband! Our new place is a year long rental in Fountain, Co which is a neighboring town to Colorado Springs. For those interested our new address is:

8237 Parkglen Dr
Fountain, Co 80817

We are still unpacking all of our boxes and doing mini projects to get our new place in order for the arrival of Graham. One thing we still need to finish is his nursery. We are waiting on some furniture and have some decorative items to hang. But we're very excited to get that completed and to post more pictures of the house for all to view.

Ultrasound (25 weeks)

We had our 25 week appointment today! The doctor ordered another 3D/4D ultrasound in order to check for a cleft lip and palate since it is in the family history. Many of the photos are of little Graham's face, so we're just posting a few. Everything looks wonderful and healthy. Graham is up to 1 lb 14 oz. which is in the 64th percentile. Also, Graham is currently in the Frank Breech position-meaning if he were born now he would come out bottom first. The doctor says they will usually begin to turn around 37 weeks. That seems so far away but let's hope he turns that ship around!

Graham's sweet face. His cheeks are getting chubby:)

He kept putting his hand up and blocking us from getting a good shot! But how cute is he?!

A perfect little fist. I think he will be a born cheerleader!

Now, for a few more pics of me and Graham from the outside. I feel like the bump has gotten bigger in just one week.

Had to throw a picture of me and Brannock in there. He is showing off his ability to shake.
