Baby bump: 29 Weeks

Today marks my 29th week of pregnancy. I'm in my 7th month/3rd trimester with 11 weeks to go. My belly continues to grow and I'm definitely starting to feel big. Bending over is getting more difficult and it is often accompanied by an unexpected grunt. It kind of makes me feel old. Also, my belly button seems to stick out more and more each day. I feel like it is noticeable through my clothes-which I do not like! Luckily, I have not yet had any swelling and can still wear my rings. But 11 weeks is a long way to go, so we'll see if that symptom comes to call.




This past weekend we moved into our new house. In the pictures above I am in the front living room where Alex just installed a curtain rod and new curtains. Don't they look beautiful? I'm so grateful for a handy husband! Our new place is a year long rental in Fountain, Co which is a neighboring town to Colorado Springs. For those interested our new address is:

We are still unpacking all of our boxes and doing mini projects to get our new place in order for the arrival of Graham. One thing we still need to finish is his nursery. We are waiting on some furniture and have some decorative items to hang. But we're very excited to get that completed and to post more pictures of the house for all to view.

Ultrasound (25 weeks)

We had our 25 week appointment today! The doctor ordered another 3D/4D ultrasound in order to check for a cleft lip and palate since it is in the family history. Many of the photos are of little Graham's face, so we're just posting a few. Everything looks wonderful and healthy. Graham is up to 1 lb 14 oz. which is in the 64th percentile. Also, Graham is currently in the Frank Breech position-meaning if he were born now he would come out bottom first. The doctor says they will usually begin to turn around 37 weeks. That seems so far away but let's hope he turns that ship around!

Baby bump: 24 weeks

I am now in my sixth month of pregnancy and still feeling really good! So, black was probably not the best color to wear to show off the bump, but you have the bare belly pics for your viewing pleasure as well. Frankly, I'm looking a bit pale. Maybe it's the bad lighting in our apartment:) Perhaps the next time you see pictures it will be from our new home. We will slowly be moving our stuff in throughout the month of March with the big furniture move on March 27th. It will be exciting to have a bit more space to spread our stuff out. And we will be able to get the nursery ready!

Graham is definitely moving around in there. He is most active after lunch and at bedtime while I'm watching t.v. That's usually when I pull Alex's hand over to my belly so he can feel little Graham kicking! We are having another 3D/4D ultrasound on March 1st. Hopefully, Graham will have a little more meat on his bones so we can get a good look at him.

First Photo Shoot

IT'S A BOY!!!

We had our ultrasound today. I am 1 day shy of 21 weeks-which means 19 weeks to go. Everything seems to be going well and baby and I are healthy. Graham Andrew Clark weighed in at 14 oz. According to the "What To Expect" book, an average 21 weeker is almost 11 oz., which means Graham is a little chunky:) However, we are not putting a lot of clout into that.

Many things were leading to a girl in our life. Old wives' tales such as fetal heart rate, Chinese birth calendar, people's opinions, possibly the way I was carrying, etc., but we are so happy at the results of the ultrasound. And are ecstatic that we can start calling our baby by name.

I'm away in Nagano City, Japan. This is my final trip away from wife, dog and child-to-be for a while (a whole month!), so I'm pretty excited about getting back. But it's also my first time in Asia, and I was lucky to have some free time today to explore a temple with our sled hockey team's coaching staff:

Show Me The Bump: 18 weeks

The side view. I've read that women with tall torsos take a while to pop. I definitely have a tall torso so perhaps that is why it is taking so long.



This is the front view of bare belly Lorri at 18 weeks and 2 days. A definite difference but not quite a big bump. I just look chunky:)





So, this picture was taken close to a year ago, but it shows a pre pregnant Lorri tummy. I thought this would be a good visual when comparing to my current 18 week pregnant tummy. Any bets on when I will have a fully popped belly versus a "hey, I ate too much for dinner" belly?
